It all started with my mother. Fresh out of my gemology course at GIA, I sat down to design a bracelet for her. I walked in with what I thought was preparation — tennis bracelets, slim bands, broader silhouettes, different finishes, different weights. I showed her every option carefully. She looked through them, smiled, and simply said: “Daily wear.” That was it. No sketches. No references. No explanation. Just two words and the expectation that I would understand what she truly meant. At first, I nearly made the mistake of going back with more designs and more options. But instead, I went back to understanding her. What did her everyday life actually look like? What kind of jewelry did she unconsciously reach for every morning? What would feel effortless on her wrist from ordinary routines to important moments? That experience changed the way I approach jewelry completely. Over the years, I realized most clients don’t describe what they want in exact words. They speak in fragments — “something elegant,” “not too heavy,” “timeless,” “daily wear.” My job was never just to design a piece. It was to understand the person behind those words and translate that into something that genuinely belonged to them. Today, with over ten years of experience across design direction, gemstone sourcing, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing, I work with jewelry houses, luxury brands, and private clients from the very first conversation to the finished piece. One vision carried through every stage, with the belief that the best jewelry is not just beautiful to look at — it should feel naturally connected to the person wearing it.
